10 LOCAL STUDENTS RECEIVE

SCHOLARSHIPS FROM CENTURY 21 GRAND

Rockland high school students recognized for local volunteerism

NEW CITY, N.Y. (June 19, 2008) – CENTURY 21 Grand awarded $250 scholarships to 10 high school seniors from across Rockland County as part of its annual scholarship program, which recognizes students for their volunteer efforts and community contributions. The students were awarded with a plaque and check on June 12 in a ceremony at the company’s New City office.

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be high school seniors, attend a public high school in Rockland County and submit an essay outlining their community involvement. The scholarship program was established in 2003 by CENTURY 21 Grand and has awarded more than $12,000 to Rockland students.

“CENTURY 21 Grand’s scholarship program recognizes students for their volunteer work and community involvement,” said Nettie Price, founder of the scholarship program and licensed salesperson with CENTURY 21 Grand. “It’s a great opportunity for the company to give back to the community and to reward students who have dedicated time and effort to improve their communities.”

The scholarship winners are: Chanel Diaz of Nyack High School; Printy Koshy of Ramapo High School; Arielle Levy of Clarkstown South High School; Amrika Maikoo of Spring Valley High School; Mitchell Mail of Clarkstown North High School; Justin Mathew of Nanuet High School; Rachel Mongiovi of North Rockland High School; Brianna Quinn of Pearl River High School; Rebecca Ravenna of Suffern High School and Jacqueline Schaefer of Tappan Zee High School.

Valerie Moldow, a coordinator of the scholarship program and associate broker with CENTURY 21 Grand, said that the scholarship program provides a way to formally acknowledge students for their volunteer work and charitable efforts.

“These students are the future leaders of Rockland County,” said Moldow. “Our scholarship program is one of the ways that CENTURY 21 Grand supports the community that we serve.”
